Griswold

As with many small prairie towns, Griswold which was once a thriving community with 5 elevators, flour mill, hotel, general store, 2 doctors and a news paper has through the decades lost most of the businesses.

Today Griswold consists of a post office, community centre, tourist booth in the shape of an elevator, historic 100+ year old stone church, the war memorial which lists names on the Honor Roll from 1914-1918 and 1939-1945, and approximately 30 residents.

Don’t let their small size fool you! The outstanding citizens of Griswold contribute to this tiny community in so many ways through community pride and hosting several events such as a annual Irish Stew Supper, Pork Loin BBQ, and Fall Supper which draws very large crowds. Another event not to miss is the Annual Flea Market.
